Vintage Possible Civil War WWI Brass Bronze Spur Rowel Spurs English Spurs Western Spurs
Vintage brass or bronze single spur with 3/4“ rowel spur with 13 points, 1 3/8'' neck, 3 1/4” opening & squared spur strap slots. Can find no maker marks on this, it does not react to a magnet so is not steel, has a brassy look to it, & also has a groove on inside of band, we think to help stabilize it on the boot? In our research this may be a Civil War or WWI piece. It came out of a collection including a vintage embellished whip & several very vintage bridle rosettes, so look for those items as well. This is a single spur, not a set.
