Australian Stockmans Breastplate Breast Plate Breast Collar
Australian Breastplate made of black leather with white contrast stitching & all brass hardware. Standard horse size that is very adjustable from Arab to full size horse. This breastplate has been designed to keep the saddle from slipping back while still allowing the horse full freedom of movement, & is able to be adjusted five ways for a perfect fit. It comes with brass buckles stamped to look like horseshoes, padded center ring backing, brass bolt snap to attach to girth & buckle in running martingale. Not stamped as to maker.

Straight doubled & stitched 1 1/8” wide leather western breast collar with center ring, leather pinch guard, & adjustable strap with trigger/scissor snap at girth end. Has single row of brass dots or studs on each side piece, & all brass hardware except for trigger snap with is nickel plated. Chest pieces are approx 17” long not including rings & tugs. Made by Tex Tan, it is stamped 03 43734 Made in USA inside tugs. One of the tugs is cracking where it meets the ring, & has surface cracks through, other tug is fine. Brass dots are green, conway buckle on strap back to girth is green & trigger snap is corroded but works, & strap back to girth is Very dry & cracks when bent. Selling in AS IS condition as we do not know if the cracking strap will break when adjusted.

This quality western set of headstall, roping/gaming reins & breastcollar has white contrast stitching, rubbed & darkened edges, braided black/white/tan/red horsehair or horsehair look trim, engraved/etched "silver" conchos, & headstall has black horse hair tassels at the center of the browband. Headstall & reins have fancy floral etched "silver” conchos at bit ends. Headstall adjusts on both sides & measures 45" at largest & 37" at smallest with 5 factory punched holes, & is missing the throatlatch. Headstall & breastcollar have plain buckles with Chicago screws so they are removable. Set includes 3/4” wide roping or gaming style reins that are partially doubled & stitched, are adjustable at both ends with conway buckles & have trigger/scissor snaps at both ends. Reins measure just over 7' long as adjusted now, including snaps. Matching breastcollar has side pieces that measure 16 1/2” long not including rings or tugs, leather pinch guard on center ring, & adjustable strap with conway buckle that attaches to girth with a snap. Made by Tex Tan, breastcollar is stamped 03 42853 Made in USA, & reins are stamped 50863 Made in USA, number stamp for headstall was probably on missing throatlatch.

Tex Tan? Lt Oil Western Bridle Center Ring Breastcollar Set Silver Trim Browband Western Headstall & Breast Collar Set

Doubled & stitched qulaity leather with darkened & rubbed edges, & silver bar trim on browband, cheeks & breastcollar. Set consists of browband style Western headstall with adjustable cheeks on both sides with removable buckles in case you wanted to add fancier buckles, 5/8” wide leather with white contrast stitching, & matching breast collar. Silver is not the cheap stuff. Measurements: Breastcollar sides not including rings or tugs are 15” long, has pinch guard on center ring, & adjustable strap back to girth with Conway buckle & trigger/scissor snap. Headstall measures largest approx 43”, smallest approx 37", & 17" browband including throatlatch. Great for show, pleasure or work. Brand unknown, owner thought this was a Tex Tan. Excellent condition except for lots of tiny black spots, mainly on tugs(see inset).

This 2" wide nylon web breast collar is lined with 1/2" thick black 100% felt on the breast pieces and center strap for added comfort. Total width is 2 3/4”. Features a tie down D ring and a snap for cinch attachment. Durable nickel plated hardware, except for the center ring which is non-rust stainless steel. Strap back to girth is adjustable with a buckle & has a bolt snap. Sides measure approx 15” long not including center ring or tugs. Some rust on metal keepers & D ring, minor corrosion on snap. Minor dirt to underside of felt.

Constructed from basket weave stamped or tooled leather with white contrast stitching, rubbed & darkened edges, & is scalloped or shaped with a silver Texas star concho inside each scallop or rounded edge. Features a center ring with basket weave stamped leather backer, metal tiedown dee ring, an adjustable center strap with Conway buckle & is easy to add a snap at end. Chest strap measures 1 1/4” wide at widest point x 11 3/4” on each side not including rings, hardware or adjustable straps. No brand name although it looks similar to Showman items. Considered Medium Oil, it is a dark tan/light brown color, almost a coffee or mocha color.

Set consists of headstall/halter with adjustable cheeks & removable bit attachments so that bit can be removed allowing horse can be tied or graze without bit in their mouth & without having to remove your whole head gear, curb strap, roping or single style reins with rubber martingale stops, breast collar/breastplate & snap in/removable standing martingale & running martingale attachments. The bit attachments are on the cheeks, allowing you to easily add or remove your bit when needed. Has brass bridle spacers at brow band/crown junction, all brass snaps, snap at throatlatch & is very adjustable to fit a variety of head sizes. Breastplate has snaps on tugs for easy attachment to saddle & black neoprene chest guard to prevent center ring from rubbing chest. Easy to clean just simply soak in a bucket of soapy water, hose off and dry. Great lightweight bridle for the endurance rider. Brass conway buckles at bit ends. Excellent used condition with only some dirt & some white marks to underside of crown piece from white paint(?). All keepers, snaps, buckles, pieces, etc seem to be here. Halter ring under chin & trigger snap on breast collar are only hardware Not brass & they have minor rust. Save here on a quality set that would cost new well over what we are selling it for.

Headstall measures 40 1/2" at shortest & 44 1/2" at longest adjustment with 4 holes on each side & has a 17 1/2" long browband. Comes with matching center ring style breastcollar. Side pieces measure approx 16 1/2" not including rings or tugs, & strap back to girth is adjustable with a conway buckle with bolt snap end. Brand unknown but possibly Showman, Hilason, or Shiloh. Set does not have matching reins.

Western Breastcollar Basketweave Tooled Shaped Roper Breast Collar Black
Doubled & stitched heavy duty leather, 2 3/4" shaped body in basketweave tooled pattern. 1" wide tiedown & large center pinch guard. Sides are 14 1/2” long. Minor rust on rings, & we removed the snap as it was frozen, crinkle in pinch guard from being smushed in a tack trunk, but otherwise this is in excellent used condition. Brand unknown, but quality leather.

Australian breastplate made of sturdy yet supple leather. All brass hardware, brass horseshoe stamped buckles & adjusts on both sides to fit a variety of sizes. This breastplate has been designed to keep the saddle from slipping back while still allowing the horse full freedom of movement, & is able to be adjusted five ways for a perfect fit. Chest pieces measure approx 24" as adjusted on middle of 5 holes on each side. Brand unknown, only stamped India. Some wear to where buckle was adjusted the most on chest pieces, some greening on brass rings, & repaired spot on end of 1 chest strap at center ring(see photo).
