Blue/Black Nylon Southwestern Print Western Headstall and Breast Collar Set Western Bridle Breastcollar Set
Blue & black nylon western headstall and breastcollar set. Browband style headstall is 5/8" wide blue nylon with black lining for total width of 3/4". It has buckles at bit ends, silver tone slot conchos w/blue & black beaded dangles on center of brow band & sides. Headstall adjusts on both sides with 7 factory punched holes on each side. Breast collar is 1” wide blue nylon lined with 2" wide black nylon & has blue southwestern print navajo blanket style liner for overall width of 2 1/2". It has adjustable strap w/snap to girth, & silver tone slot conchos w/blue & black beaded dangles on sides. Sides are 16” long not inlcuding hardware or tugs. Clean, good used condition with minor wear to bit ends, minor hair/stains to inside lining of breastcollar, most slot conchos are rusty & missing 1 slot concho on side of breastcollar. Snap back to girth has some rust & is stiff, conway buckle adjustment is corroded. Owner used on 1/2 Arabian so should fit Arab/Cob to Horse size. Reins have come in that will match this set, see WR204.

Showman Western Headstall and Breast Collar Set with Pink Rhinestones Silver Conchos with Pink Stone Center Shaped Western Bridle Split Reins Tooled Leather Shaped Breastcollar Set

This set consists of shaped cheek headstall, split reins, & shaped breastcollar. Headstall adjusts on both sides & features double & stiched leather with white stitching, accented with pink crystal rhinestones on browband & shaped and tooled cheeks, & has engraved conchos accented with a pink marbled stone in center at bit ends. It comes with 5/8" x 7' leather reins with white stitching on 1st part by bit ends. Breastcollar is shaped & tooled with white stitching, pink crystal rhinestones, & matching conchos. Side pieces measure almost 15 1/2" not including rings or tugs, & strap back to girth is adjustable with a conway buckle. Breastcollar was never used, & bridle was only used a few times, so set is in like new condition with only kinks in reins from being tied.

Vintage? Braided Horsehair Trim Sliding One Ear Western Headstall & Breast Collar Brown Leather California Braid Braided Rawhide Buttons Horsehair Trim Overlay Western Bridle Split Reins Center Ring Breastcollar Set
Set of sliding one ear style Western headstall with split reins & breast collar set. Headstall has braided horsehair or horsehair like trim overlay, black & natural California Braid braided rawhide "buttons" & has fancy Chicago screws at shaped bit ends. Headstall adjusts on both sides with buckles that are removable with Chicago screws in case you wanted to add fancier ones, & comes with split reins 5/8” wide x a little over 6' long. Headstall measures 41 1/2" at largest & 34" at smallest adjustment with 5 factory punched holes on each side. Matching breast collar has 3/4" wide side pieces that measure 17” long not including rings, shaped centers, center ring style with leather pinch guard, & adjustable strap that attaches to girth has a snap on end for easy on/off. Reins are not the exact same pattern as headstall & breastcollar(see photo on right), were tied at the end so has kinks in leather, & had mismatched conchos on ends so we changed them to fancy Chicago screws. Breastcollar has 1 tug that was chewed on(see photo on left) but still works fine, & snap has rust on it but also works fine. Not marked, brand unknown, reins have the number 776 stamped onto both ends. Leather throughout is supple & this looks to have been a quality piece, possibly vintage Tex Tan, Circle Y, Billy Cook, etc. There are a few small places on all 3 pieces where horsehairs or fibers are sticking out. Interesting set.

Western Bridle with Silver Black Leather Western Headstall Split Reins & Center Ring Western Breastcollar Silver Trim Breast Collar

Black doubled & stitched 1/2" leather browband style western bridle with narrow etched "silver" trim on browband & cheeks, etched "silver" buckles, keepers & tips, & etched conchos at flared bit ends. Headstall measures 40" as set on middle of 5 factory punched holes on each side, & has 16" long browband, so this will fit a bigger headed horse. Comes with matching 5/8" x almost 6' long split reins & narrow straight breastcollar that has center ring with leather pinch guard & adjustable strap back to girth. Sides measure 5/8" wide x 16" long not counting rings or tugs. This set is new but stored badly, so we cut the strings binding it together, cleaned & conditioned it, but there is some rust on hardware & lots of cricket chews to leather surface as they eat the salt out of leather. Brand unknown, probably imported. Still a pretty set.

Straight Western Breastcollar Double Tugs Western Breast Collar Equalizer English Breastplate Western Breastplate Pack Saddle Breastcollar Dark Brown
Straight English or Western breastcollar features doubled & stitched 1 1/2” wide leather with double tugs with snaps on each end. This is a simple styled breast collar or breastplate with no center ring or withers strap. Measures approx 33 1/2” long including rings but not including tugs. 2 sets of adjustable tugs with scissor or trigger snaps allow you to hook this to both saddle & girth for extra stability & helps to equalize pressure, or remove 1 set of tugs as needed. Great for pleasure or work, could be used English or Western, or possibly with a pack saddle. Leather of breastplate is sturdy yet supple with only a few very minor scuffs, tugs are supple & have all their keepers, & snaps work well although a few are stiff. Great for horses whose chests get rubs from standard breast collars. Brand unknown, but leather is quality similar to Tory or Circle Y.

Western breastcollar features doubled & stitched 1" leather with rubbed & darkened edges, center ring set up to add a large concho, & adjustable strap that goes back to the girth. Sides measure approx 15 1/2” long not including center ring or tugs. Tugs have etched or engraves silver buckles, keepers & tips & are stamped Circle Y 4242.1000. Backs of tips look like they are stamped Alpaca Mexico. This may be part of the Marlene McRae line. Add a large center concho to match your tack & this is a very nice piece for show, pleasure or work. Leather is supple with a few surface scrapes.

Western Breastcollar Round Braided Leather Rawhide Braided Trim Silver Ferrules Beads Western Breast Collar
Round braided leather Western breastcollar with round natural braided rawhide trim, fancy etched "silver" ferrules, engraved "silver" buckles, keepers & tips, & strap going to girth is adjustable with a conway buckle with small spring snap end. Single ply flat leather tugs & girth strap. Hole in center ring guard allows you to add a concho. Sides measure approx 16” long not including center ring or tugs. Would look nice on Spanish breeds, Paso’s, Stock Breeds, etc. Brand unknown, but is probably imported. Some of the braided rawhide trim has loose ends sticking out, buckles are not marked so not real silver, & some green corrosion on ferrules. Strap back to girth is still flexible, but not as flexible as tugs & doesn't have any adjustment holes punched except for 1 that was started but doesn't go all the way through. Doesn’t exactly match but is very close to matching headstall WHS192.

Black doubled & stitched leather shaped center ring western breast collar with decorative stitched looping pattern in center on each side, adjustable strap back to girth with conway buckle & snap. Large leather center pinch guard to protect chest. Chest pieces are approx 14” long not including rings & tugs, are approx 2 3/4” at widest point & 2 1/8” at narrowest point. Not stamped as to maker but looks to be imported leather, possibly Tough-1 or Showman. Supple yet sturdy, it has some dirt/sweat stains, some rust on rings, & conway buckle & snap have some corrosion on them with snap working well. The girth strap has been in same position for awhile so we did not try to adjust.
