Congress Leather Western Stock Show Halter Chain Lead Silver Show Halter Yearling/Cob Brown Congress Leather Quality leather doubled & stitched throughout with rubbed & darkened edges, raised rope edged engraved silver trim on cheeks & nose, double silver buckle crown with silver keepers & tips, 3 way adjustable under chin, and rolled & wired throat. 3 factory punched holes, plus 1 more, on each side of crown piece. Cheeks measure 6 1/2" not including hardware & measures ring to ring over crown 35" as adjusted on last/longest hole on each side(we did not use additional punched hole). Silver buckles are not marked, but is not the cheapie stuff. Small enamal Congress Leather logo on crown piece. Comes with leather lead with 24 1/2" long 7/16" wide chain & 2 small raised rope edged conchos on leather, with overal length of a little over 7 1/2' long. Measures without including hardware 11” nose, 6 1/2” cheeks, & is 32” on the shortest setting & 38”on the longest measured ring to ring over crown. Comes with 3/4” wide leather lead & 25" long narrow chain for total length of over 7 1/2'. Lead is stamped Mitch Harrison, a saddle maker. Leather is supple, but a few scuffs, mainly to lead. Vintage Winchester Yearling Western Show Halter Braided Trim Stock Halter with Silver Trim Alpaca Mexico? Silver Lead Chain L Pony/Cob/Yearling Horse Winchester Vintage leather western show halter with small engraved silver conchos & triangular trim pieces. This halter has a blue, black & silver woven trim on noseband & cheeks, adjustable chin, single buckle crown & flat throat. Buckle is plain stainless steel & is removable with Chicago screws. Cheeks measure 6 1/2" long not including hardware, nose is 10 1/2”, & the overall measurement ring to ring is approx 36 1/2” on the last/largest hole with 4 more factory punched holes to make smaller. Leather is supple, but shows some wear & 1 silver triangle piece on the nose has some green on it. Halter rings are stamped Winchester. We did remove a silver piece to see if it was marked but it was not, so not sure of quality but it is not the cheaper stuff, possibly older Meico silver. Comes with matching chain lead with 31" long flat link silver tone 3/8" chain & overall length of almost 8'. Lead has matching woven trim & silver piece. Cannot find a makers mark on this, but quality similar to Kathys, Circle Y, Weaver, Tory, etc. Crown piece is slightly darker than rest of halter so may not be original, but is supple yet sturdy quality doubled & stitched leather. Since crown piece is so long, this halter would best fit a horse with a long face but small muzzle. No silver trim on nose or cheeks so you can add what you want or use this as is for a "less is more" approach, or use it to show off a sale horse. Silver trim has a black diamond with silver center, design almost like a fleur de lis. Silver buckles are not stamped on back that we can see, but is not sterling & not the real cheap stuff either, somewhere in between. Cheeks measure 6 3/4” not including hardware, & crown is almost 36" at smallest & 43" at largest adjustment measured from ring to ring over crown with 5 factory punched holes on each side. Vintage Circle Y Western Show Halter Braided Rawhide Trim Stock Halter with Silver Trim Alpaca Mexico Silver Buckles w/Blue Stones California Braid Cheeks Yearling/S Horse Circle Y Absolutely stunning Circle Y western leather show halter with loads of engraved silver accented with blue stones! Shown is the catalog page from 1987, so this is a vintage piece. This halter appears to be yearling sized and measurements are provided below. This halter has large engraved silver buckles with gold tone/brass floral design, blue stone center on flower, matching keepers & trim on noseband. Buckles are stamped Alpaca Mexico on the back & are removable with Chicago screws. Cheeks are braided natural rawhide with red & black detailed center. It has engraved halter rings, silver tips & oval silver piece with Hand Made by Circle Y on both sides of throatlatch. It is adjustable on both sides of the crown, 3-way adjustable at the chin and has a rolled & wired throatlatch. Buckles under chin are stamped Solid Brass USA. The following measurements do not include hardware. The nose is 11 1/4”, the cheek pieces are 7 1/2”, and the overall measurement ring to ring is approx 35” on the middle hole with 1 more hole punched each side to make bigger or smaller.
