5" solid rubber mullen mouthpiece with 5 1/4" shanks not counting curb rein ring. Loose curb rein ring, space for lip strap, comes with curb chain hooks but chain not included. A mullen pelham is great for leverage and added control but with a softer rubber mouthpiece. The rubber coating will give protection to the horse's sensitive mouth while still allowing the rider to maintain control with this stronger bit. No holes or gouges in rubber. Use pelham bit converter straps to convert this bit to a single rein for new riders.

Vintage Kangaroo Bit Never Rust 5" Mullen Mouth Weymouth Snaffle Bit Combo Bit Fulmer Pelham Bit Double Bridle Bits Made England
Kangaroo, Made in England
5" mullen mouthpiece with 7" shanks not counting loose rein rings at bottom. Has 2 1/4" diameter "snaffle bit" ring that slides similar to a gag bit inside a half moon shaped cutout, but has no direct connection to the mouth. This bit has the appearance of using a snaffle & weymouth combination for full or double bridles, but is only 1 bit with no snaffle action in the mouth. This has loops for adding a lip strap & curb chain hooks, but no chain. Mouthpiece is stamped Kangaroo with the symbol of a kangaroo, Made in England, E.L. Ogden, N.Y. & looks to be a nickel brass type metal similar to Never Rust bits. Very vintage & hard to find. We did not clean the patina off this bit anywhere except mouthpiece so we could read the stamped info. Great addition to your collection.

5” high port mouthpiece with almost 6 1/2” cheeks not counting the loose rein rings at bottom. Port measures approx 2" from bottom of mouthpiece. High port gives more palate contact for more control. Eglentine is stamped on 1 shank & England on the other. It looks to be a nickel brass type metal similar to Never Rust bits. Vintage & is a hard to find bit. Great addition to your collection. Has loops for lip strap & comes with curb chain hooks, but no chain.
