Vintage 5" Medium High Port Curb Bit Etched Silver Shanks Galvanized? Metal Western Curb Bit with Engraved Silver Trim Shanks
5" medium high port mouthpiece with 7 1/4" shanks that have etched "silver" trim overlay. Bit appears to be a galvanized type metal as it reacts to magnet but looks similar to Never Rust bits with a slightly greenish cast to the patina. Etched "silver" trim overlay is in a floral pattern & also has lots of greenish pitting or marks. Fairly heavy bit. Brand nor age is know. Lots of small rust & greenish spots throughtout. Silver cleaned up a little bit with silver cleaner, but doubt you'd get it shiny.

5” Medium Port Grazing Bit C Bit Western Curb Bit with Slow Twist Shanks

5" medium port curb bit with 6 1/4” turned back shanks. Shanks are made to look like a slow twist for a little extra flair. This is the right bit for the finished, mature horse who responds well to the bit, with only a little bit of correction. This is a great trail bit, or for general use on a horse with a good mouth. 5” medium port sweet iron mouthpiece with 7” slightly turned back shanks. Port is approx 1 1/4" high from top of port to bottom of mouthpiece. Solid cheeks for stability engraved with a rope design. Medium port adds tongue relief & little palate contact while sweet iron keeps mouth moist & soft. Used once, like new, minor chew marks on mouthpiece. Brand unknown.

Very good low leverage bit for horses with a good mouth. Solid cheeks for stability. Medium port adds tongue relief & little palate contact while sweet iron keeps mouth moist & soft. Minor rust on untreated steel mouthpiece. Still has an "Inspected" sticker on 1 shank. Brand unknown, possibly Partrade or Sta-Brite.

Vintage Crockett Renalde? Bit 5" Engraved Shank Aluminum Low Port Curb Bit Grazing Bit Western Show Bit

Possibly vintage cast aluminum 5" low port mouth curb bit with large floral engraved "concho" at corner of mouthpiece that has a brass center stud, & 8 3/8" slightly turned back engraved shanks. Port is approx 1" from top of port to bottom of mouthpiece. Nice bit for a horse who doesn't like to pack a lot of weight in their mouth. Stamped with an inverted horseshoe inside top of shank, but can't see any writing, possibly a older Crocket/Renalde. Use or add to your collection.
